G.A.T.E.WAYS aims to cater for children who are in the highly able to gifted range. This approximates the top 10 – 15% of children in the classroom. Programs are delivered at a faster pace than in the regular classroom, and are pitched around two years ahead of chronological age.

G.A.T.E.WAYS runs a range of programs which parents of gifted and highly able children can enrol in directly. These programs include: Brainwaves Club, Holiday Club, Festivals and Leadership.

From Jonah (Grade 6) who went to see the Australian Synchrotron with GATEWAYS:

The Australian synchrotron is the only synchrotron in Australia and one of two in the southern hemisphere. At the synchrotron they speed up electrons to %99.99998 of the speed of light and then keeps them on a loop until they are put through a tunnel to do different experiments like making an electron 50x narrower than a strand of hair. On Tuesday the 17th of April I went there for the Gateways program along with about twenty their students from different schools. When we did the program we had a tour of the Australian synchrotron. We learnt about how the synchrotron works and the different components in the synchrotron. From the synchrotron experience from Gateways I want to be a scientist more than I did before.
