Meet our new Teachers

Kathleen O'Callaghan - Grade 1A

My name is Kathleen O’Callaghan and I am teaching in Grade 1. I have been teaching for 6 years and am continuing my teaching journey at Coburg North Primary School. I am extremely excited about working at Coburg North Primary School and being part of this wonderful community.  I will continue to help all students to grow as learners and to prepare them to become an active citizen in the community. I am looking forward to making lots of memories with students, parents, staff and the local community.  Looking forward to a wonderful year.

James Grant - Foundation A

Hello, my name is James and I am teaching Foundation A this year. I grew up in Port Fairy and moved to Melbourne to study. I have an Environmental Degree and finished my Masters of teaching last year. I love surfing and going to the beach when ever I can. I also enjoy travelling, camping and doing yoga. I am really excited to begin my teaching career and being a part of the Coburg North Primary community.

Hannah Dallas - Grade 1C

Hello, my name is Hannah and I teach Grade 1C. I’m excited to be joining the Coburg North Primary School community in my first year of teaching! I graduated last year from the University of Melbourne’s Masters of Teaching with an Arts specialisation, and completed my final placement here at CNPS. I have a passion for music, and enjoy playing and teaching violin. This year I will be taking my grade for specialist music. Please come up to Room 20 and say hello, I’d love to meet you.

David Bulley - Grade 2A

Hi, my name is David and this year I’m teaching in 2A. This is my third year teaching, having previously worked as a Child Educator and a Disability/Community Support Worker. I strongly believe that a positive and engaging classroom environment can cultivate academic and personal learning, so establishing a trusting community with students is my first priority. So far this year, students in 2A have been learning about the power of having a growth mindset, and how mistakes are a path to success. You’ll find me in Aula Uno, feel free to drop in and say hi!

Margaret Corzo - Visual Arts

Hi, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself; my name is Margaret and I am the new Visual Arts teacher at Coburg North Primary School. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked in both the classroom and the art room within different school settings and have had my works exhibited in various small galleries. I am so excited and privileged to be working with your children. I hope to continue to inspire and guide their creativity through various fun and motivating art activities. I have a strong interest in the areas of painting and ceramics, and will endeavour to help students build their skills in many different areas of Visual Arts, including creating backdrops and props for this year’s concert. Over the past few weeks, I have taught all my classes and, I must say, I am impressed with how responsive and well-mannered all the students at CNPS have been. I thank you all for being so welcoming and look forward to getting to know you as the year progresses.

Katrina Gouramanis - Grade 4B

Hi CNPS, my name is Katrina and I am so excited to be a part of the community here and to be teaching 4B. I’ve been teaching now for six and a half years and before that I worked as a researcher in science. I love talking to students about science and the world around us. I also love playing soccer (even though I have retired) and I look forward to watching all of you sport-crazy kids out there at lunch times. I feel very lucky to have traveled to lots of different countries around the world, including some in Africa, Asia, Europe and South America – it’s fantastic to learn about how people and animals live around the world. If you see me in the yard, come and say hello because I’m looking forward to meeting you!
