Parents and Friend's News

Christmas Stall proceeds

Thanks to all the crafters and bakers who contributed goods for the annual Parents & Friends Christmas stall. This year’s stall made more than $2000 to go towards school projects. A big thank you also to the volunteers who turned up on the day to help the kids with their purchases. A big hit this year were the personalised, painted baubles created by Kate Copping, Jenny Dun and Justine Poplin.

Thank you to the volunteers Kate, Jenny, Justine, Lisa, Karen, Mike, Belle, Gina, Jackie and Annie, but a special thank you to the tireless organisers Amanda Gordon-Lee and Kirrily Noonan.

Barbecue thanks

Thanks to the parents of 1C and 1D (and other grade 1 parents who couldn’t make the November 25 market). Thanks to Amelia, Magnus with Per, the super sales team of Carolyn and Selma, Mike with Billy, Ang with Indigo, Gina with Vera, Petr with Hugo

Esme and Pascal accompanied by grandparents Peter and Fran, Jessica with Eva, Andrew and Carolyn and Dave with Jack. Thank you all. Your help is, as always, greatly appreciated.

The first school stall at the Coburg Farmers’ Market in 2018 will be Saturday, February 10, with Grade 1A first out of the blocks, followed by Grade 1B on Saturday, February 24.

To Mrs Zull & Miss Gill

Parents and Friends would like to thank Helen Zull for all her support and encouragement over the past 11 years. She has always welcomed parent involvement in the school and been willing to lend her support to our community building and fundraising ideas. We wish her the best in her retirement and hope she enjoyed her surprise today. We also want to take this opportunity to thank Rhonda Gill for the support she has shown P&F over the years. Many of our art-related fundraisers, especially the calendars and art shows, would not have been possible without her. Thank you and enjoy your well-earned break Rhonda!

Finally, Parents and Friends will be back, bigger and better than ever next year. As the school grows, we hope to get as many of you on board to help with school lunches, craft stalls and other activities. Our work is not just about raising money for the school but about building a strong and connected school community. We'll be sending out information at the start of next year with information about how you can get involved. And of course, we would love to hear your ideas as well.

See you next year.
