Thank you to our families who donated goods for the orphanage in southern India. The Scanes family will be well on their way or at their destination by the time you read this. They were overwhelmed by the quick response and generosity of the Coburg North Community. They will be sending photos which we hope to share with you.
The first week of the swimming program is over. The daily swimming and the very hot weather has produced some very tired children who I hope will sleep well for you this weekend. Thank you to the parents and grandparents who have assisted with the program this week. A few extra pairs of hands makes a big difference. A number of parents have helped with grades other than their own child's grade and I know teachers have greatly appreciated this.
We are in the tendering stage for the building project at the moment. Tenders have to be into the Education Department by the 4th December. A builder will be selected soon after that.
Principal Selection Process
A panel consisting of two school councillors, one parent, one school principal and a Senior Education Improvement Officer from the North West Region has been formed and are currently considering applications before shortlisting for interview.
Thank you to Alan the dad of Natalia in grade 2. The other morning he noticed a leak from one of the down pipes. By the next morning he had fixed the problem. He is also currently installing a small playground he donated in the OSHC yard. During the last working bee he installed a shed for the OSHC bbq with the help of Mike dad of Charlotte and William. Alan's handy skills and his generosity with his time are greatly appreciated.
Extra thank you for Make Noise Festival
I omitted Di Furness from my list of thank yous for the Make Noise Festival. Di along with the planning team put in many hours prior to and during the day of the festival. Thank you Di. 🙂
