Principal's News

I would like to formally advise the school community that I am finishing at Coburg North Primary at the end of this year. My contract expires at the end of December and I am not seeking to renew it. I will be taking long service leave in term one 2018 and then retiring after a special birthday next March. I have been at Coburg North Primary for eleven years and am confident that I am leaving the school in a great position for my successor to build on.

The principal position at Coburg North will be advertised this term to be taken up in term one 2018. The School Council is working with the North Western Region through this process. Kate Copping the school council president will keep the community informed.

Term 4 will be another busy term at Coburg North Primary. We have advertised five teaching positions for 2018 and will be interviewing next week. An increasing school population also involves obtaining and furnishing extra classrooms. One double portable classroom has already been placed at the school with another one expected very soon.

The Make Noise Festival is coming up on the 28th October. If you have a spare hour or two this Sunday 15th October we would love to see you at our Family Gardening Day from 10am - 12pm so we can make sure our school looks spectacular on this day.

Other whole school dates to have in your diary include:

  • 6/11 pupil free day
  • 20/11 swimming program starts
  • 13/12 end of year Christmas Concert and Celebration
  • 22/12 last day of school
